Which mining type?

# Underground mining or automining: which should I choose?

North Continuum has two ways to get ore.

## Underground (legacy) mining
You dig the deposits yourself with the hand scanner and the hand mining tool.
It works on planets that support underground mining. [Good for: starting out,
no territory needed, ...]. [Downside: you must be online and digging, ...]

## Automining
You place mining units on a territory you own, and they pull ore while you are
away. It works on the automining planets. [Needs: a territory unit, mining
units, ...]. [Output: ...]. The ore pool preview tool on the community site
shows how automining ore is distributed.

## Which one?
- New player or only need a little ore: [underground, because ...]
- Want steady ore without playing every minute: [automining, because ...]
- Feli, Patriot and Ion (and their moons) support both.
