What is MAP and how to get them?

What is MAP?

MAP stands for Madrandis Activity Points. They are an account balance on this website, not coins inside Dual Universe. Think of MAP as activity credit we award for certain server-side and in-game behaviour that we can measure and that you have linked to your player accounts here.

How do you earn MAP?

MAP can be added to your balance in a few ways. The exact rules can change as we tune the program, but broadly:

  • Tracked play areas. Staff can configure areas on the server map. When your linked characters are present and counted as active in those areas over time, MAP can accrue according to the rates set in our systems.
  • MAP marketplace orders. We can mark specific markets and order owners for the MAP program. When you are the counterparty and you fully or partially fill one of those listing (buy from a sell listing or sell into a buy listing), MAP may be credited to your site account when our tracker matches the trade to a valid wallet event. The public Markets page shows which markets and live listings are in scope when that feature is enabled.
  • Administrative grants. Team members with the right permissions can add or adjust MAP on a case-by-case basis.

You need the correct player accounts linked on this site so we can attribute activity to you. If we cannot match your in-game wallet action to a linked user, MAP for that action may not apply.

MAP and MADIS

MAP are not sent to your on-chain wallet automatically. When you are ready, an administrator can exchange your MAP balance into MADIS at the rate that is configured for the server. That rate and a rough “MAP to MADIS” preview appear on your Madis wallet page after you sign in.

For what MADIS is and how to hold or move it on chain, see our separate article: What is Madis and how to gain them?

Your MAP balance, the current conversion rate, and on-chain MADIS tools are all gathered in one place: Madis wallet.

Transparency

MAP is a site-managed rewards layer. Final amounts for marketplace-related MAP depend on our scanner and game data matching; if something looks wrong, open a ticket so we can trace it with the order and wallet records we store for the program.
