What is Madis and how to gain them?

What is MADIS?

MADIS is an ERC-20 token on the Polygon network. It has a market price because it trades like any other liquid token people buy and sell. You can inspect the official contract on a Polygon explorer:

Contract address: 0x5Ae69664b099A6bA67B82dD44b2aBE9cC74BDdB5

Liquidity and swapping are commonly done on decentralized exchanges such as Uniswap on Polygon. Always verify you are interacting with this exact contract and the correct chain before approving any transaction.

How do you get MADIS?

  • Trade on chain. Buy or swap MADIS from a decentralised exchange or receive a transfer from another wallet to your address.
  • Convert MAP. If you earn Madrandis Activity Points (MAP) on this site, an administrator can exchange your MAP into MADIS at the rate that applies to your account. How MAP is earned is explained here: What is MAP and how to get them?

Madis wallet on this site

After logging in, open Madis wallet. On that page you will typically find:

  • Your MAP balance (site-side) and the MADIS exchange rate used for the MAP preview.
  • Your on-chain MADIS balance, with an approximate USD value derived from a DEX-style spot reference (the label on the page explains it is an estimate).
  • Your deposit address for receiving MADIS from MetaMask or any other Polygon wallet.
  • Add Madis to MetaMask so the token shows in your extension.
  • Optional export of the embedded wallet private key if you want to import the same wallet into MetaMask or another app. Treat exports like a password: anyone with the key can move funds.
  • Links to the token contract and to view your address on a block explorer.
  • Send MADIS to other members through the site (recipient search) or by connecting MetaMask and sending from your connected account. Native Polygon gas (POL) is still required for on-chain sends; the wallet page reminds you about that.
  • Recent activity for Madis movements related to your account, with links to transaction hashes when available.

Security and Openfort

On-chain MADIS access for this site is built around Openfort, which provides the embedded wallet, signing, and transaction flow. That keeps keys and sensitive operations inside a security-focused stack instead of us building a custom wallet from scratch. You still control whether to export a key or use MetaMask for external sends. If Openfort is not configured on a given environment, the Madis wallet page will say so and some actions will be unavailable.

Before you trade

Token prices move. Gas costs apply on Polygon. Only use interfaces and pool addresses you trust. If anything on the wallet page disagrees with the explorer, trust the explorer for raw chain state and refresh the wallet view.
